SAMBA, Sept 14: Locals of Sumb area here have asked the authorities concerned to get repair the damaged hand-pump in the village as the area has water crisis.
The hand pump installed in the middle of Sumb market is in damaged condition for a long time and the concerned department has never bothered to make it functional.
“Many people come to Sumb for different works while on Tuesdays and Sundays, many devotees visit Baba Shivo Temple at Goran. No source of water in the area adds to the woes of visiting devotees,” Rohit Sharma, a local said.
Locals have demanded Governor Satya Pal Malik’s intervention in resolving the issue.
