JAMMU, Sept 18: Former Minister & Ex MLA Marh, Sukhnandan Choudhary raised a question mark on the medical facilities provided to the common people of Jammu province.
In a statement issued here, today he said hospitals across the UT are providing VIP treatments to the influential, wealthy or people who are in administration, but no body is caring about the common people who face acute problems and are admitted in Government run hospitals. Moreover, people suffering from ailments other than COVID_19 are denied admission in the hospitals, he alleged.
He also put a question mark after a senior official of Directorate of Health Services got admitted in private hospital at Narayana Katra when declared Corona positive. Why she is not getting treatment at Government hospitals, he asked? . One can imagine that the situation on the ground is not good and there are poor facilities in Government run hospitals which are meant for only poor people, he added.
He demanded a high level enquiry in shortage of Oxygen in GMC Hospital in recent days and urged Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to intervene and look into the matter which is of serious nature.
