JAMMU, Sept 27: To provide succour to the poor and downtrodden sections of the society at their door steps by providing them best medi-care facilities free of cost, former Minister, Ex MLA & senior BJP leader, Sukhnandan Choudhary inaugurated a free medical camp which was organised and coordinated by district vice president, BJP & Sarpanch, Sham Lal Sharma at village Saharan Marh near here, today. The camp was held in collaboration with Janata Medical Hall.
The doctors examined hundreds of patients and provided free medicines to them. Dr Shivam Parihar MD Paediatrics, Dr. Mohit Choudhary Physician Specialist, Dr. Shivani, ENT and Dr. Pawan Choudhary examined patients in the successful conduct of this camp that attracted hundreds of people.
Sukhnandan Choudhary formally inaugurated the camp and addressed large number of patients besides party workers and congratulated the doctors for remembering their roots and people though serving in Delhi and other parts of India. Choudhary assured every kind of help to the doctors for organising such functions in the future too in different localities for the welfare of people of J&K.
Choudhary said that recently in the Mann ki Baat programme, Prime Minister has drawn the attention of every citizen towards the deadly disease Diabetes which is fast engulfing the whole country and keeping in view this alarming scenario, a mega free camp has been organised so that people who are prone to this disease be provided relief by conducting free test whose cost is too much in the open market.
Choudhary has also applauded the doctors for providing respite to the common man by conducting various tests like Lipid Profile, Sugar, BP, Haemoglobin, Uric Acid, ECG free of cost.
About 240 patients have undergone various tests and who were given free consultation by the doctors.
On the occasion DDC member, Marh, Balbir Lal, district secretary, BJP, Deepak Pandey, councillor, Krishan Lal, BJYM district Executive Member Atul Sharma, Panch, Raju Sanga, Naib Sarpanch, Pardeep Chouhan, Pawan Choudhary, and prominent people were also present.
