JAMMU, Oct 16: Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Shar-ma today said that Panchayats will get empowered after the election of Block Chairman.
Addressing party workers at villages Dansal and Nagrota in Nagrota constituency, Jugal said that it is 1st time when 73rd Amendment rule is coming into power and Block Development Council elections being held in present Government of BJP.
He said that panchayats will get empowered after the election of Block Chairman as all the funds would now be allocated at panchayat level and every corner will get equal share of development. He added that BJP is working on the ideology of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas and Sabka Vishwaas”.
The MP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are working hard to empower rural areas and it is very necessary to elect Block Development Council Chairman to empower panchayats for development of rural areas.
He also added that some people are working on false propaganda against BJP and trying to mishandle Sarpanchs and Panchs to make their candidates win but BJP is the only largest political party which will fulfill the demands of public.
District president, BJP Rural, Omi Khajuria along with Mandal presidents Satish Sharma and Heem Raj, senior BJP leader Nand Kishore, State executive member Vijay Sharma and many Sarpanchs and Panchs were present on the occasion.
