JAMMU, Oct 29: Securing 116 votes against Kewal Krishan’s 99 votes, Subash Chander Sharma was elected president of Irrigation and Flood Control Contractors Association in an election meeting held at Irrigation Complex, Canal Road here.
Mukesh Singh was elected vice president getting 148 votes against Ravinder Singh’s 66 votes, while Vidya Sagar was elected general secretary by securing 108 votes, defeating Vikas Choudhary who got 103 votes and Raj Kumar was elected secretary by defeating his nearest rival Surinder Sharma, who got 74 votes and Gulzar Singh getting 41 votes.
Sadiq Hussain Batti, AE Civil was the presiding officer, while the elections were held under the presidentship of Sham Singh, provincial president and general secretary Vinod Kohli and Narinder Gupta.
