Sub-Junior Wushu Team selection trials from today

JAMMU, May 2: The Wushu Association of J&K will conduct selection trials for the Sub-Junior Wushu team on May 3 and 4 at the Wushu Hall, MA Stadium, Jammu. Selected athletes will represent J&K in the 25th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship, scheduled to be held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, from May 26 to 31, 2025.
As per the handout, to ensure fair selection, the association has formed a selection committee comprising Rajinder Singh, Kamal Kishore (both international players), Ajay Paul Gill (JKSC Coach), Lalit Singh (NTO), Ashi Jamwal (KIC Coach), Appu Jamwal (PMDP Coach), and a JKSC Observer.
The weigh-in and draw of lots will take place on May 3 from 4 PM onwards, while bouts and events will begin at 9 AM on May 4. The J&K Sports Council will organize a coaching camp for the selected team from May 4 to 23 at the same venue.
The association said regulations for the championship have been circulated to all District Units, KIC Centres, and PMDP Centres. For further information, participants may contact 9596910112.
