U-17 National Wrestling C’ship selection trials on May 4

JAMMU, May 2: The Wrestling Association of J&K will organize selection trials for the U-17 Boys and Girls National Wrestling Championships on May 4 at Jammu University Wrestling Hall.
According to a handout issued by the association, wrestlers from J&K, both male and female, will compete for the opportunity to represent Union Territory at the 2025 U-17 National Wrestling Championships, set to take place in Dudhola, Palyal from May 25 to 27, 2025. The trials are open to wrestlers born in 2008 and 2009, while those born in 2010 may also participate, provided they submit a medical certificate and parental consent.
The selection trials will be conducted in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, under the supervision of the Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council, and the J&K Olympic Association.
Participants must report to the venue by 8 am with a photocopy of their Aadhar card. Weight and verification will take place between 8 am and 9 am, with no wrestler permitted to participate after 9 AM.
