SU shines, claims top spot in THE Asia Rankings

JAMMU, Jan 24 : Cementing its position as one of India’s leading academic and research institutions, Shoolini University (SU) today achieved a groundbreaking milestone in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
In the domain of Physical Sciences, which includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Statistics, SU has emerged as the top-ranked university in India, securing a global position in the 201–250 band.
This remarkable achievement places Shoolini alongside Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) Bangalore.
Reflecting on this accomplishment, Prof P K Khosla, Chancellor, Shoolini University said, “We are delighted with the rankings. When we established the university, our vision was to create a research-based institution that would lead India on the global platform in terms of research. These rankings reflect our commitment to research excellence, and we will continue to conduct quality research to represent India on the global stage.”
In addition to its outstanding performance in Physical Sciences, SU has excelled across other disciplines.
In Engineering, the university has secured a global rank in the 401–500 range and is placed fourth in India, sharing the spotlight with institutions like Jamia Millia Islamia, UPES and Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences.
In the Life Sciences category, SU stands in the 251–300 global band, making it the No. 1 university in India, alongside IISc Bangalore and Banaras Hindu University.
These achievements underscore SU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation and research.
