Students protest against shortage of teaching staff

UDHAMPUR, May 13: Alleging shortage of teaching staff, students of Government Degree College Dudu-Basantgarh and Government Higher Secondary School Dhnas in Chenani area held separate protest demonstrations, here today.
Students of Government Degree College Dudu-Basantgarh protested for adequate teaching staff and college building besides other facilities like sitting arrangement, library, etc.
The protesting students blocked the Dudu-Basantgarh to Ramnagar road and raised slogans.
Similar protest was held by the students of Government Higher Secondary School Dhnas in Chenani area against shortage of teaching staff.
Shouting slogans, the protesting students blocked the Dhnas to Chenani road. They said that due to the shortage of teaching staff in the school, the students were facing manifold problems to get their queries solved pertaining to their subjects.
They also alleged that there was no proper sitting arrangement in the school which has students strength of more than 200 and only two Lecturers. Most of the students belong to BPL category.
