SRINAGAR, Apr 2: Students of Government High School, Waisa Balla in Kupwara district have boycotted classes to protest the decision of the authorities to shift their school to a new building which is vulnerable as it is close to the forest.
Agitated villagers said that the Government is playing with the career of their children by issuing an unnecessary order for shifting a decade-old high school from their locality to newly constructed building which is in Waisa Payen, another village.
They said the school is two-kilometers away from village and lacks space, drinking water, electricity and toilet facility.
The students refused to attend the classes till the order of relocating school was cancelled by the higher authorities.
