JAMMU, Mar 31: Depressed over her poor result in the class 8th examination, a girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in village Lower Kathak, Manwal, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli police station.
As per police sources, 15-year-old Anjana, daughter of Charan Singh of Village Lower Kathak, Manwal allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
Finding her hanging, family members informed the police and the body was shifted to hospital, where after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The girl was depressed over her poor result in the recently declared class 8th examination result.
A case has been registered at Jhajjar kotli police station and investigation started.
