Strong women are foundation of UP :Yogi

LUCKNOW, Aug 21: During the launch of Mission Shakti 3.0 on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that self-supporting, secure and strong women are the foundation of new UP.
The third phase of Mission Shakti will be committed to protect women by offering them employment. State Governor Anandiben Patel and Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Programmee at the Indira Gandhi Prathisthan here.
“We are starting the third phase of Mission Shakti to strengthen this foundation. Its first phase was started last year during Navratri,” he said while adding that this program is also being organized in all the district headquarters of all 75 districts of the state.
There was also a program today where 75 women were honoured. The CM said, “all of us should cooperate in making the third phase of Mission Shakti, starting from today, a success with positive participation and participate in building an egalitarian society.
Our Government is dedicated to the all-round upgradation of the mother power of the state. With this, the third phase of the program Mission Shakti will give them more strength. The State Government of Uttar Pradesh is fully committed towards the respect, protection and empowerment of women power.”
Governor Anandiben Patel lauded the achievements of the women in previous two phases of Mission Shakti in the state and called upon women who are lagging behind to avail all the Government benefits to groom their careers. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said ,”when Modi ji became PM, he auctioned all gifts he had received as Gujarat CM and donated money for education of girl children.
The PM introduced several women as ministers during recent Cabinet expansion,” she said while stressing on the importance given by the PM to the fairer sex.
Talking about the achievement of the Modi Government, Ms Sitharaman said when some developed countries don’t have vaccines and they are looking for doses, India due to PM Modi’s efforts, is producing six vaccines.
“We want to provide vaccines quickly to country, especially the vulnerable population,” she said. She said that the schemes of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are focused on the development and upliftment of women.
The schemes of the Central Government, Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Loan are focused for all women. She said that when there is encouragement, the woman do not hesitate to participate in it and performs very well after joining.
While interacting with the women of self-help groups of Uttar Pradesh, the Finance Minister said that the central government gives money for the storage capacity. The Finance Minister said that it is the result of the efforts of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh that the recent decision to include women in the Permanent Service Commission has given new wings to the dreams of women. Women are now eligible for NDA.
Ms Sitharaman said that Uttar Pradesh is the only state where banks have reached every village and the reason for this is the bank friends or Bank Sakhis of the villages of the state.
Earlier, Governor Anandiben Patel honored 75 women from across the state who had done excellent work in their field in the first and second phases of Mission Shakti .
These women were also honored by Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman. All awarded women did excellent work during the Corona period. These included women doctors as well as health workers, women self-help groups, women’s voluntary organizations, besides women doing important work in the field of education and women’s empowerment. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sent Rs 451 crore to the accounts of 29.68 lakh women under the Nirasrith Mahila Pension Yojana.
Along with this, more than 1.73 lakh new beneficiaries were also linked to this scheme.
Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Rs 30.12 crore was sent to the accounts of 1.55 lakh girls. The State Government will start Mission Shakti Cell in 59,000 gram panchayat buildings today. During the launch of the third phase of Mission Shakti, the Government deployed women beat police officers.
Under Mission Shakti, pink toilets will be constructed in 1286 police stations at a cost of Rs.84.79 crore. Special recruitment will be done for 2982 posts for women battalions. (PTI)
The third phase of Mission Shakti is special in many ways. New companies will be established on the lines of Balini Milk Producer Company. Milk companies will also be set up in Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, Amethi, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Rampur districts. A target has also been set to form one lakh new self-help groups by December. (UNI)
