Strike by Narwal-Channi Mini Buses on June 3

JAMMU, May 31: Mini Bus Operators Union of Narwal-Channi Himmat route will observe a one day token strike on June 3 in protest against alleged police highhandedness.
In a handout Ch Razak Ahmed, Union President stated that cops harass them for not installing GPS instrument in the vehicles.
He further said that they offer proper concession to students, physically challenged people and do not go for overloading still traffic cops and police uselessly harasses them.
Razak further said while minibus operators in Kashmir valley were exempted from installing GPS instrument why the Jammu based operators are being harassed for that.
He also informed that even the RTO office stops issuing fitness certificate for their vehicles demanding GPS installation.
The Union leader further said that if the transport department fails to implement uniform rules for entire State then their strike can be extended.
