Stop deforestation

Sir,
When Almighty blessed humans on this earth, he also blessed his different wonderful creations like mountains, rocks, rivers, oceans, forests etc. to balance the nature. At that time, the humans were caring about these natural blessings but with the passage of time, they started ignoring the Nature and started indulging in their self -interest.
There was a time when saints  used to meditate under the shade of trees. These were the peaceful places for them. But now a days, trees are continuously decreasing. Today man has become so selfish that in order to earn more and more profits, he is clearing the forests day by day and on that land, he is constructing buildings, factories and so many things of his interest. There was a time when the people were so innocent that they behaved with the plants like their own. At that time, they didn’t allow to cut the trees at all. It was the time of Chipko Movement which was best known for its ploy of hugging trees to prevent them being cut down.
Deforestation has totally disturbed the nature. Now there are no proper rains at proper time. Either there are drought conditions at one place or there are flood conditions in other place. Animals and birds lose their homes. Even some of the organisms got extinct due to these disturbances while as some are endangered. Earlier, we were having no idea of global warming, greenhouse effect, environment Pollution etc. but now a days, these have become a major threat to the environment. The main point is that if we can cut ten plants from an area, then why can’t we grow ten more plants in barren areas or in land which is not in use? We see that barren areas are totally infested with the unwanted plants, i.e weeds. Why so? Actually my main point is that when we cut a plant from an area, we should also grow another plant in other area. We know the trees are referred as the lungs of the humans. These absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen in the atmosphere and control the Environment Pollution. Besides,  these provide shade, beautification, medicines, resting place for organisms and play a major role in soil and water conservation.
