REASI, May 18: Sangam Theatre Group (STG) Reasi started video documentation of cultural heritage of Dogras and historical places like Ziarat Sharief, temples, cultural events, traditional marriages, monuments, art & craft etc. at various places of Himalayan and Sub-Himalayan region of Jammu.
The project has been started in collaboration with Union Ministry of Culture, BTI Section under the scheme of Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage of Himalayas.
The Group also organized audio-visual programmes of art and culture in different schools. During the documentation of rich cultural heritage of the dogras and audio-visual programmes, art experts and prominent personalities highlighted the importance of traditional folk performances and rich cultural heritage of the State.
The team of Sangam Theatre Group who visit various places for documentation included B S Sharma, Raja Aamir Khan, Sarita Devi, Rohit Kumar, Akram Khan, Karan Mengi and Sohan Lal.
