‘Statehood status’ soon be restored to J&K: Ram Madhav

JAMMU: Asserting that as per new act after Jammu and Kashmir was made Union Territory, delimitation was on cards, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Friday said that “statehood status” would soon be restored to Jammu and Kashmir.

“Delimitation Act will soon be brought into force and the Centre already working on it and our party also wanted to restore “statehood status” soon to Jammu and Kashmir,” Mr Madhav, who was on two-day visit to the Union Territory here told reporters.

 He said that Assembly elections will also be conducted depending upon the situation and will be announced by the Election Commission of India. (AGENCIES)
