Abrogation of Art 370, 35-A welcome step

JAMMU, Aug 7: Welcoming the move to abrogate discriminatory subsections of Article 370 and reorganizing Jammu and Kashmir into a Union Territory, Neeraj Anand, president, Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF) affirmed that the State would take a giant leap towards all round development and peace would soon be restored
Addressing a press conference here in Jammu, Neeraj appealed for strengthening the hands of law enforcing agencies by acting prudently. He said Jammu has always played a positive role and now that role has become bigger due to sudden change of events. “ Rumour mongers and those who want violence to grip the state are waiting for such opportunities, howeve, I firmly believe that Jammuites won’t fall in any trap and again defeat those forces,” he said.
Speaking further Neeraj said, new opportunities shall knock the doors of J&K though working environment may change but it would be beneficial in the long run. He said better technology, manpower, capital influx in all fields would help business grow manifolds thus benefitting the local economy. With J&K now becoming a UT, toll Tax on goods would also go thus fulfilling our long pending demand and providing level playing field viz-a -viz neighboring states.
Earlier, office bearers and patrons of CTF paid tributes to Sushma Swaraj, former Foreign Affairs Minister, two minute silence was observed to pay respect to the departed soul.
Prominent among those present were, Attar Singh, Parveen Gupta, Raman Gupta , Shiv Kumar Gupta Dinesh Gupta, Tushar Mahajan, Ajay Gupta and Parag Abrol.
