JAMMU, Dec 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to celebrate the 93rd birthday of former Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee as Sushasan Yuva Mahotsav. In this connection fortnight long programmes will be held in the country as well as the State.
This was disclosed at a press conference held at Party Headquarters here, today by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), State president, Dr Suresh Ajay Mangotra and its State general secretary, Vikas Choudhary
They said that the birthday of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be celebrated as Sushasan Yuva Mahotsav.
Dr. Magotra said that the BJP at national level has decided to celebrate 93rd birthday of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Sushasan Yuva Mahotsav (Good Governance Fortnight). In this connection, the party has decided to organise various programmes to celebrate it as a festival across the country, he added.
He said BJYM at national level has decided to celebrate some of the programmes across the country from December 10 to December 25. State BJYM is also going to celebrate the birthday of the beloved leader and Bharat Ratna as Good Governance Fortnight till 25th of December, he added.
He said many programmes will be organised to celebrate the event among the common youth and urged the youth of the State to join these celebrations so that they can be acquainted with the achievements of former Prime Minister.
Dr. Magotra further said that State BJYM will felicitate State Sports Achievers on December 16 at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Programmes with the theme of “Yuva Samvad” will be organised in colleges and universities on December 18 and publicity through stickers of Central Government schemes will be organized on December 20, publicity through pamphlet of Central Government schemes on December 22, Yuva Sammelan will be celebrated at Kathua on December 23. BJYM will also honour Municipal Safai Karamcharis on December 24 at Dogra Chowk whereas Swachhta programmes will be organised at district level.
