State Awards for 37

JAMMU, Jan 25: On the occasion of Republic Day, Government has announced State Awards to 37 personalities in different disciplines.
The Award for Bravery has been given to Muzamil Mum-taz of Satr-ina, Kangan, district Ganderbal, while Award for Achievements in the Field of Literature was given to Tsering Wangdus Lonpo, Writer/ Transl-ator in Ladakhi Language, Noor Shah, Urdu Writer and Shiv Dev Singh Sushil, Dogri Writer.
The Award for Performing Arts has been given to Makhan Lal Saraf, Actor, Dermesh Nargotra, Dogri Singer and Sherine Fatime, Fold Singer Balti, whereas Award for Excellence in Arts and Crafts has been conferred upon Farooq Ahmad Mir, Kani Shawl Weaver and Tariq Ahmad Mir, Sozni Crafts.
The Award for Social Reforms and Empowerment has been given to the Association for Social Health in India J&K Branch.
The Award for Meritorious Public Service were given to Shaleen Kabra, Princiapl Secretary Industries and Commerce, Swaram Parkash Pani, IGP Kashmir Zone, Sheetal Nanda, Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Khalid Jahangir, DC Kupwara, GR Mir, Additional Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Subash C Chhibber, Additional Secretary General Administration Department, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, Director Panchayat Raj Institutions, Narinder Khajuria, Additional Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Javid Ahmad Koul, SSP Crime Branch Kashmir, Dr RK Chrangoo (retd) Surgeon, Dr Reyaz Untoo, Principal SKIMS Medical College Bemina Srinagar and Dr Saima Rashid, Principal GMC Srinagar.
The Award for Lifetime Achievements went to Dr Jitendera Udhampuri and Dr Girja Dhar (Posthumously)
The Award for Outstanding Sports Person has been given to Chandeep Singh (Para-Sports), Farheen Fayaz (Pencak Silat), Nirmal Kumar (Mountaineering), Bavleen Kour (Gymnastics), Rasik Salam (Cricket), Danish Farooq (Football), Saqlain Tariq (Volleyball), Shreya Gupta (Fencing), Bilal Ahmad Dar (Cycling), Jasia Akhter (Cricket), Ummar Ashraf Deaf Cricket), Hiteshwar Singh (Roll Ball) and Women’s Ice Hockey Team Leh.
