JAMMU, Apr 6: Expressing serious concern over the plight of unemployed youth whose number is growing day by day, Kishtwar Civil Society has demanded that the work on Paccal Dool Power project be started immediately and the local youth of districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban be given preference in the project.
In a statement issued here, today the Civil Society member, Shamsher Singh Bhandari also demanded that the work on Keru, Qwar, Karthai and Rattle power projects be started as this will not only boost the power generation in the State but will also create job avenues for the unemployed youth.
Bhandari also demanded construction of parking slots from Bus Stand Kishtwar to old DC office, solving the present water crisis in Kishtwar which have added to the problems of people, proper power supply in the district and installation of flood lights from Hasti More to Malipeth.
Bhandari made an appeal to DC Kishtwar to issue instructions to Executive Engineer M&RE Division Kishtwar in this regard besides urging him to ensure better power supply in the district.
