JAMMU, Mar 13: BJP Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma demanded starting of work on rail projects in his Constituency. The demand was raised by him in Lok Sabha on Thursday.
Jugal complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi , Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh C Angadi for making provision for development of Jammu in Rail budget. He said that Vande Bharat a new chair car started from Delhi to Jammu is very successful project but there is dire need to work more in the same sector. He demanded to start a new train from Jammu to Haridwar and Jammu to Chandigarh.
He said that rail over bridges needs to be constructed at Samba,Vijaypur and Bajalta soon to prevent mishaps. He brought into consideration of Minister that project for doubling of railway line from Jammu to Pathankot which is near the completion but has been delayed due to construction of bridge over river Ravi. He urged on completion of construction work of bridge soon.
Member of Parliament urged that a large number of area is connected with Jammu to Akhnoor ,Nowshera, Rajouri and upto Poonch and large number of population will get benefited through this project. By laying Jammu -Poonch Railway line large number of people get connected and it would make easier to travel long distances through this train. Member of Parliament said that survey for laying of Railway Line from Jammu to Akhnoor to Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri and upto Poonch has been completed and said that the provision should be made for laying of railway line in next budget so that work can be started soon.
