JAMMU, Aug 20: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded that work on bore wells at Jagti township be startted without further delay to ease the problems caused due to drinking water scarcity in the township.
The AIMCCC president, Desh Rattan said that after the hard efforts and struggle of his organisation and Jagti township inmates Government had sanctioned four bore wells for the township in year 2016.
Though the project was approved in the year 2016 by the then Government after approving Rs 7.5 crore that time unfortunately, the project got delayed till now. However now the authorities have realised the gravity of the situation and it is hoped that the project will be taken up in hand as early as possible.
This will not only provide pure drinking water round the clock but will also ensure safe drinking water to inmates of the township.
AIMCCC also demanded that bore wells be also sanctioned for other migrant camps in Jammu.
The meeting complimented RC Migrants for proposed solar lights for Jagti and other camps as this was also on top of demands on our agenda with higher authorities.
