The incidents of stalking have phenomenally increased and getting worse day by day for the past two years. Even after the amendment in Indian Penal Code, three years back, to designate stalking as a serious crime, there are very few people in our country who bother to file an FIR against the stalker. Politicians shout gender equality slogans only to fill their vote banks. Their words ring hollow when they use their positions to save their dear ones. These cases get national attention as the public impatience with crime against women is growing.
For how long an “aam aadmi” has to suffer to get justice? Or should we need to say, an ”aam awrat”?
