CHENNAI : The stage is set for the launch of the fifth navigational satellite IRNSS-1E by ISRO’s workhorse launch vehicle PSLV-C31 from the spaceport of Sriharikota, about 100 km from here, tomorrow.
ISRO sources said ”the 48hr countdown, which began at 0931 hrs yesterday, was progressing smoothly.
In its 33rd flight, the 44.4m tall home-grown PSLV rocket, with a lift off mass of 320 tonnes, would lift off from the Second Launch Pad at the SHAR Range at 0931 hrs tomorrow.
Propellant filling operations in the fourth stage of the four-stage vehicle was completed and filling of
solid and liquid propellants in the remaining three stages were under progress.
”The countdown is progressing smoothly without any hitch”, the sources said.
