UDHAMPUR, June 25: The staff members of Government Model Higher Secondary School Ramnagar staged a protest against the Principal who has allegedly held their salaries for the last three months and not attending the office.
The employees alleged that the Principal of the School has not released their salaries for the reasons best known to him.
The class IV employees working in the school said that they have not been provided the salaries for the last 4 months. The protesting staff members demanded immediate transfer of the Principal.
The employees said that they have been facing hardship due to lack of money amid Covid-19 Lockdown. They appealed to the authorities to take step in releasing their salaries.
According to P D Sharma, Chief Education Officer Udhampur, he had personally visited the Government Model Higher Secondary School Ramnagar where the Principal was found absent from duty. Despite repeated telephone calls, the Principal did not attend the phone and a report in this regard has been submitted to Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Director School Education Jammu and Secretary Education, he added.
