SSP takes stock of traffic scenario

JAMMU, Oct 27: In a meeting SSP Traffic city Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma here today took stock of overall traffic scenario of the city and its adjoining areas.
The SSP stressed upon the officers to take all necessary measures to smoothen the flow of traffic in Jammu city and its outskirts in view of ensuing Darbar Move during which the volume of traffic increases.
He also issued directions to the concerned officers for effective regulation of traffic as well as enforcement against traffic violators particularly against illegal parking.
The SSP directed officers and officials of Traffic Police to take effective action against stunt bikers who not only endanger their own lives but also that of others.
A handout stated that serious concern was expressed over traffic congestion in busy areas particularly around hospitals and directions were issued to the concerned to ensure that these areas remain free from on-road parking and traffic jams so that people in general and patients in particular do not suffer.
The meeting was attended by ASP Traffic City Jammu, Pardeep Singh Gouria; DySP (T) City North, Shivali Kotwal; DySP (T) City South, Sunil Singh; DySP (T) Rural Jammu, DySP Neeraj Paddyar; DTIs and SOs of Traffic Police City Jammu.
