SSP Samba visits Police Station Vijaypur, reviews its functioning

SAMBA, Apr 18: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Anuj Kumar, visited Police Station (PS), Vijaypur to review its overall functioning. He was accompanied by SDPO Vijaypur.
During the visit, SSP Samba held a detailed interaction with the Investigating Officers and others police personnel of PS Vijaypur emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining law and order, preventing and detecting crime and ensuring public safety. He stressed the need for prompt response to incidents, increased police visibility, and effective surveillance in sensitive areas.
He further emphasized enhanced night patrolling, installation of CCTV cameras at major chowks and strict maintenance of Beat Books for effective policing and improved community safety.
A detailed review of the Police Station’s functioning was conducted, with focus on timely investigation and disposal of pending cases as well as the implementation of modern policing practices. The SSP also reviewed the functioning of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) and directed officers to maintain accurate and updated records.
As part of his visit, the SSP inspected identified narcotics hotspot Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur. He instructed officers to ensure strict surveillance and take firm legal action against drug smugglers/ peddlers. He also visited other areas to assess security arrangements.
SSP exhorted the officers and officials to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and efficiency while performing their duties.
