Samba, Feb 10: In order to strengthen police-public relationship and to reduce the gap between general public and police, SSP Samba Virinder Singh Manhas today held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in the premises of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
The meeting saw the participation of DDC member Samba, representatives from industries, ex-Sarpanchs/Panchs, Numbardars and large number of prominent persons/youth hailing from adjoining villages Bein Glar, Pangdour, Chak Dayala, Chak Faquira, Kalibari, Sadoh, Sordi, etc.
The SSP Samba assured the participants that District Police Samba is committed to curb the crime from the society and to provide safe and secure environment to the law abiding people. He warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities. Besides this, SSP Samba appealed the participants as well as the general public to cooperate and assist the Police in its fight against drug menace.
He urged upon the public residing in the border villages to remain alert and inform Police about any suspicious movement in their areas. The identity of the informer shall be kept secret.
During the course of meeting, Manhas patiently heard the problems/issues highlighted by the participants and assured them that their genuine problems shall be redressed. On the occasion, Addl. SP Samba, DySP Hqrs Samba, DySP Operations Samba, SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, Incharge PPs Rakh Amb Talli, Rajpura, SIDCO, Supwal and other police officers were also present.
