JAMMU, May 10: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar today conducted inspection of Border Police Post (BPP) Jogwan.
During the visit, the SSP was accompanied by SP Rural Jammu Brijesh Sharma, SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma, SHO Khour Inspector Neeraj Choudhary, Incharge PP Pallanwala and Incharge BPP Jogwan.
The SSP conducted casual inspection of the BPP Jogwan and checked various registers/records which are currently being maintained in all the police posts of Jammu district, as part of proactive policing. Thereafter, the SSP was apprised regarding the functioning of the post and the emerging challenges in border areas.
Later on, the SSP held a security review meeting of the area with concerned officers and on spot directions were given to have a joint naka with army in vulnerable areas. Directions were also issued to brief VDG members to remain extra alert. Some welfare oriented issues of jawans were also resolved on spot.
