SAMBA, June 19 : Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh today rewarded Selection Grade Constable, Kamal Kishore who played pivotal role in arresting accused involved in Rangoor firing/heroin smuggling case.
A reward of Rs. 5100 cash along with commendation certificate was bestowed upon the official at an impressive felicitation ceremony organized in his honour at District Police Headquarters, Samba for exhibiting exemplary professionalism and arresting three top heroin smugglers.
On the occasion, SSP Samba, Additional SP, Samba, SurinderChoudhary and other officers of District Police Samba appreciated the conspicuous gallant action of Selection Grade, Constable, Kamal Kishore at an isolated place during midnight hours on the intervening night of 11th & 12th of June 2023, because of which the top interstate heroin smugglers, who were fleeing from the scene of crime after opening fire upon locals at Rangoor camp Ramgarh, could be nabbed and 2.080 Kg heroin valuing 14 crore approximately with one pistol, one magazine, ammunition and Rs. 93,200.00 cash were recovered and case was worked out.
SSP Samba said that Sgct Kamal Kishore is one of the highly dedicated officials of J&K police, highly disciplined and punctual and he would also be recommended for suitable reward at PHQ level. Benam Tosh said that there is no dearth of such officers and officials in police and they are working hard to get the society rid of the deadly menace of heroin (‘chitta’) and to save the youth from falling prey to narco-terrorism.
SSP said that all the officers and officials who display bravery, innovation and initiative while performing duties shall be handsomely rewarded.
