SSHMS presents Satyawati Awards for Best Teachers

JAMMU, Oct 13: S&S Health & Management Society (SSH-MS) today awarded Satyawati Awards for Best Teachers to two teachers of Government Schools.

The awards of this year went to Suresh Kumar, a teacher of Government Primary School, Haripur (Kathua) and Abdul Aziz, a teacher of Government Middle School, Hubbi (Rajouri). The awards were presented to them by Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ), Ravinder Singh, during a simple function organized here today. Each award carries a certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Dr Subhash Gupta, former principal, GMC Jammu, and president of the society, Sachin Gupta, Director, Dreamtech Solutions and secretary of the society and Dr Santosh Gupta, former Head and Dean, Commerce Depart-ment, University of Jammu, Jammu and vice president of the society, were also present on the occasion.
The Society, which provides its selfless service in the field of Health and Education by organizing health camps and awareness lectures on health, open defecation and many others social topics and distributing reading and writing materials as well as uniforms in schools, started Satyawati Awards for Best Teachers last year.
These awards were given to two best teachers of the State, one from upto primary level and another from upto Matric/High Secondary Level. Last year, these awards were given by Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi.
