JAMMU, Aug 24: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Seema Shastra Bal (SSB) was found in unconscious condition in TC Complex, Channi.
“ASI Devinder Singh Rawat (UID No 13040098), son of late Rajinder Singh, resident of Uttarakhand was posted in 39 Battalion of SSB. This morning, he was found lying on the ground in unconscious condition, in TC Complex, Channi. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead”, a police official said.
He said after postmortem the body of the officer was handed over to SSB. “Prima facie, it appears that the officer dies of cardiac arrest but to ascertain the exact reasons of death, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC has been initiated at police station Channi Himmat”, the police official added.
