RAMBAN, Oct 22: An Inspector of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) died under mysterious circumstances in Sangaldan area here today.
As per police sources, SSB Inspector Ramesh Chandra Joshi, son of Shankar Dutt, a resident of Kalyani, district Chamoli, Uttrakhand was found unconscious in his room after which he was brought to the district hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
He was currently posted with at C-Coy 48 Bn of SS at Sangaldan area to provide security cover to the railway construction companies.
After conducting postmortem and other legal formalities, the body has been handed over to the SSB authorities for further handing over the same to family members for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at Sangaldan police post and probe into the case is going on to ascertain the reason behind the death of SSB Inspector.
