SRINAGAR, Sept 16: According to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), the physical test for Forest Guard, Wildlife Forester, Wildlife Guard and Social Forestry Worker posts advertised in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 will be held in October, 2017.
The walk test of 25 km to be covered in 4 hours for candidates from Kashmir division will be held from 5th to 15th October, 2017, and for those from Jammu Division will be held from 20th to 30th October, 2017.
The Board has decided to follow the RFID chip-based Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) on the lines and pattern of the system already being followed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Candidates will be invited in batches spread over 20 days and their biometrics will be taken first to ensure that there is no impersonation. Thereafter, the candidates will be allotted a unique RFID chip which will measure their distance and timing.
The result of the walk test will be declared instantly on the spot.
The Board has said that written test will also be held in 2017 so that this long pending recruitment involving about 800 posts of Forest Department is brought to its logical end.
