JAMMU, June 15: Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir slammed concerned authorities for not allowing about 70 to 80 vehicles carrying the ‘langar’ for holy Amarnath Yatra which is commencing from June 28 to cross Lakhanpur for Baltal and other places en-route to Cave Shrine for the last five days.
In a press statement issued here SRS State president, Rajiv Mahajan expressed his anger over asking ‘langar’ providers to return back, adding this way the State Government was creating unnecessary hurdles in installation of free ‘langars’ for Holy Amarnath Yatra.
Mahajan said that the action of State Government has generated a lot of resentment among the ‘langar’ operators doing free services in the ‘langars’ for the last twenty years.
Mahajan demanded Government to immediately permit all the vehicles which were halted by the authorities at Lakhanpur and Madhopur so that they can install the ‘langars’ in advance for the pilgrims of holy Cave.
Terming the authorities action as highhandedness, Mahajan said the same will not be tolerated at any cost.
“Instead of encouraging the pilgrims and ‘langar’ parties, the Government is harassing them and creating hurdles in their way every time which is unfortunate on their part,” he added.
He said the authorities stopped them citing security reasons as main cause but why they were not informed timely as one day stay at Lakhanpur costs Rs 2500 extra to them.
