Srinagar, July 30: The aspirants under SRO 43 of 1994 today staged a protest against the recent policy changes made by the Government in the said SRO alleging that they have been deceived.
Scores of such aspirants appeared in the Press Enclave and raised slogans against the policy changes seeking an immediate rollback of the same.
“We were promised that we will be provided jobs under SRO 43 and for that, the files are pending for the last 5 years, but now the Government has made policy changes in the SRO, leaving us out of it,” Shaiq Saleem, one of the candidates said.
He said that the SRO has now been modified and as per that, none of the aspirants would fulfill the criteria, which, he said, means that for the last 5 years, the Government kept giving us false promises “and at the end did a U-turn on our matter which is sheer injustice,” he said.
The candidates said that they are protesting against the policy change and seek an immediate rollback of the same. “There are hundreds of files lying pending. We are just running from pillar to post, but to no avail,” they said.
