JAMMU, Jan 17: A delegation of Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC), led by its president, Onkar Sharma ( Nandi Ji ) met president Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, B R Kundal and discussed with him the arrangements for Maha Shivratri, which is falling on February 13.
During the meeting, president of Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee informed B R Kundal that on February 12, 2018, a grand Shobha Yatra of Lord Shiva will be jointly taken out by Jammu and Kashmir Dharamath Trust and SRMWC in the old Jammu city as per routine.
He added that this Shobha Yatra will start from Shri Ranbireshwar Temple at 3:30 PM and will pass through main bazaars of the old city viz. Indira Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazaar , City Chowk, Old Hospital Road, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Mubarak Mandi, Upper Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Parade Chowk and will finally culminate at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple.
He said that on February 13, 2018, a free medical camp with the co-operation of Indian System of Medicines will also be organized at temple premises in which renowned doctors will examine the patients and give them free medicines. Some religious, cultural programmes will also be organized by the renowned artists on the occasion of Maha Shivratri Festival and a grand Bhandara will also be organized on the occasion.
B R Kundal on behalf of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust assured SRMWC for all its cooperation in making all these events successful. He said Dharmarth Trust will provide all facilities to the pilgrims visiting the temple on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
Members of SRMWC, who met the president of JK Dharamarth Trust, included Rajkumar Gupta, Amit Gupta, Mandeep Sharma, Anubhav Suri , Advocate Kapil Sharma, Mohan Sharma and Surinder Bhagat. Administrator of Dharmarth Trust Manmohan Singh was also present on the occasion.
