Srinagar, Dec 17: A 15-years old Priya Kour from Srinagar’s Sanat Nagar tonight appeared on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati season 12’, and earned Rs 10000 so far and is a roll over contestant for the hot seat tomorrow.
Priya who wanted to become an IAS officer, is currently in her class 10 and studies at Simin Rose Garden Montessori School Baghat Srinagar.
On the show she said that being in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is a big opportunity for her after she won the fastest finger first round this evening. She made a record of the season in the fastest finger first contest by answering the round in just 2.67 seconds.
Impressing the host of the show, Amitab Bachchan, by her intellect, she was given the title of “Intelligent”. On KBC, she said that she likes Kashmir for its natural beauty and people who are very good. She said that she wants to be an IAS officer.
Earlier in the day, Priya told Excelsior that the “world is our family and one has to take care of that family as well”. She said that if she wins a good amount, she would prefer to do charity for the sake of humanity and her father will take care of the rest of the amount.
She is of the opinion that one has to be a good person and should inculcate things in ourselves that we want to see in society. “We have to change ourselves first,” she said.
Priya said that she believes in hard work and then leaves it all to God. “That’s all we can do, but one has to give his/her 100 per cent,” she said.
On the show, she said that she is interested in news and happening around the world. “Knowledge matters more than marks”, she said.
Priya sees inspiration in Mother Teresa and wishes to follow her path. She also appears to be strong-willed, full of determination to be a change agent and inspire others of her age.
Her father, Ravinder said that his daughter has always been hardworking and that has been the reason that she has reached to this point of her life at such a tender age. “I am proud of her as she was brought laurels of J&K by her hard work and dedication,” he said.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, Season 12 is hosting the Students Special Week starting 14th Dec and 8 brilliant young minds from across the country are competing to be on the hot seat in front of host Amitabh Bachchan to play further.
