JAMMU, Nov 23: The founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today visited Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) House to spread the message of peace and harmony among the business community and civil society.
In his welcome address, CCI Jammu president, Rakesh Gupta, praised Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his commitment to spread world peace and work for upliftment of society and for his initiatives to bring peace in J&K in particular.
In his message to the members of CCI, Guru Ji appreciated the role played by the businessmen towards bringing peace and providing huge employment to the poor people and their contribution in building the nation. He mentioned that we should work to eradicate radicalization of religions in India and live in peace.
Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, J&K Cooperative Union, extended invitation to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for visiting the border area of RS Pura which suffers always whenever there is cross border firing, on his next visit.
The session was attended by Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Sangeeta Gupta, Chief Electoral Officer, Shantmanu and various members of CCI Jammu.
Sham Lal Langer, senior vice president of CCI Jammu, Arun Gupta, secretary general, Rahul Mahajan, secretary and Ashu Gupta, treasurer, were also present.
