RAMNAGAR, Sept 11: Senior Citizens’ Club Ramnagar in district Udhampur, presented a relief cheque worth Rs 51,000 to SDM Ramnagar, Swati for the relief and rehabilitation of the rain and flood affected people.
While speaking on the occasion, president of the Senior Citizens’ Club, Shiv Dev Singh appreciated the efforts of Sub Divisional/Tehsil Administration for reaching out to every nook and corner of the area for distribution of ration and other relief material along with Club members.
In this time of crisis, he appealed to all the people to support the rain and flood hit victims, specially those who have lost everything during this devastation, because ‘serving suffering humanity is service to God’.
The dedicated Club members who accompanied include-Thakur Dass, Som Raj, Dr Zakir Hussain, Koushal Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Vagish Shastri, Narain Dutt, Milap Chand, Jiwan Kumar, Harnam Singh, Wishwa Nath and others.
