JAMMU, Mar 12: The Government has nominated Administrative Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department as Mission Director, Smart city Mission, J&K and reconstituted the Board of Directors of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) of Jammu Smart City Limited and Srinagar Smart City Limited for implementation of Smart City Development Projects.
The Board of Directors of SPV Jammu Smart City Limited is chaired by Divisional Commissioner Jammu while IGP Jammu, DC Jammu, CEO MRTC Jammu, Additional CEO MRDA, Commissioner JMC, Vice-Chairman JDA and Director Archives are its Directors. Four independent Directors shall be nominated by the H&UDD and there will also be a nominee of the Ministry of Urban Development, GoI while an office not below the rank of Special Secretary shall be nominated by the Government as Convener.
Similarly, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, SPV-Srinagar Smart City Limited while IGP Kashmir, DC Srinagar, CEO MRTC Srinagar, Additional CEO MRDA, Commissioner SMC, Vice-Chairman SDA and Director Archives are its Directors. Four independent Directors shall be nominated by the H&UDD and there will also be a nominee of the Ministry of Urban Development, GoI while an office not below the rank of Special Secretary shall be nominated by the Government as Convener.
