Palak KourBorn in the State of Jammu and Kashmir 18 years before, Palak Kour Bijral, is an ace Gymnast, who not only has excelled at the National Level but at the International scene as well. Apart from having lot many awards in her kitty, the gritty Gymnast represented J&K in the recently concluded 35th National Games and brought laurels to the State at the young age of 18 years. The Sher-e-Kashmir State Awardee, Palak won 2 gold including team gold and one silver medal for the State in Rhythmic Gymnastics in the recently concluded National Games at Kerala. She got 1 gold in team event, one gold in individual ball event and one silver in overall individual event in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She is being coached and trained by Arjuna Awardee, Krupali Singh and Gymnastics coach S P Singh. She has the distinction of representing India in many International events held at Russia, Ukrine, Uzbekistan and Thailand. A hardworking Gymnast, Palak, does rigorous training for 4 hours each, which makes her different from others. With age on her side, experts believe that this budding Gymnast will make the Country as also the State proud at the International scene very soon. Her excellence in the recently concluded National Games is the testimony to Palak’s skill and talent. She has made the entire State proud by winning 3 medals in the National Games. For that matter, she and her coaches deserve salutation.
