Born on February 8, 1986 at Almora in Uttrakhand, Ekta Bisht ia an Indian women cricketer. She is a left-handed batswomen and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Ekta is the first women International cricketer from the State of Uttrakhand. She made her ODI debut against Australia at Chesterfield on July 2, 2011 and scored 66 runs with an average of 11, but has taken 27 wickets with best figures of 3/15.
She recently made her Test debut against England and performed reasonably well, taking 3 wickets in the match which India won. Ekta made her T20 debut against Australia and has played 20 T20 matches till date and has taken 18 wickets. She recently came into news when she took a hat-trick in ICC World T20 in Colombo, with the figures of 3/16. She has also represented Uttar Pradesh and Central zone in domestic cricket and has been a part of the prestigious World Cup team. She currently plays for Railways in domestic cricket. She has got anticipation, sharp reflexes and has a pair of safe hands in business. He spinning ability has made her the prominent figure of the Indian team and one of the emerging talents at the highest level.
