Born on March 1, 1989, Ian Dev Singh Chauhan is an Indain First-Class cricketer who plays for Jammu and Kashmir in Domestic Cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break part time bowler. He made his First-Class debut in November 2007 against Railways at Delhi and scored a magnificent half-century (62) runs in the losing cause. He has 29 First-Class matches and has scored 1709 runs at an average of 34.87 with highest score of 168*. Ian has scored 7 centuries and 7 half-centuries in 51 First Class innings. Good performance in the last Ranji trophy season has fetched Ian a place in North Zone Duleep trophy squad and he grabbed the chance with both hands to score a marathon ton (145) runs against East Zone in the semifinal battle to invite the attention of the National selectors. He has also played 30 List-A matches making his debut against Delhi in February 2007, but was unable to bat. He has an average List A record scoring 811 runs at an average of 31.19 in 28 innings. He has scored 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries at a strike rate of 68 runs. Ian has also played 18 T20 matches, scoring 230 runs in 18 innings with the highest score of 48 runs. He has the ability to bowl also and has a nag of taking wickets at crucial junctures with his off-break bowling.
