Born on September 13, 1995, Shubam Pradeep Khajuria is a J&K cricketer who has been picked for India Under-19 tour of Sri Lanka.
The 17-year old cricketer is a right-handed opening batsman who has the ability to score against any kind of bowling attack.
He got the nod of National selectors for his outstanding performance in the last season’s Cooch Behar Trophy and in U-16 matches while representing Board Presidents XI at National Cricket Academy (NCA) a few months back.
He was the top run-getter in India with 702 runs scored in the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, in which he slammed 3 magnificent centuries and four half-centuries, besides scoring over 40 runs thrice in the tournament.
He had the First-class debut against Maharashtra at Ratnagiri November 29, 2011, while he played the last First-class match against Andhra Pradesh at Jammu on November 24, 2012.
Shubam did the List-A debut against Delhi at Delhi on February 20, 2012 and played the last List-A match against Himachal Pradesh at Nadaun on February 19, 2013.
In T20 debut Shubam played against Services on March 18, 2013, while in last T20 match he played against Haryana at Rohtak on March 22, 2013.
He has the First-class average of 2o with the highest score as 34, List-A average of 14 with the highest score as 25 and the T20 average of 31.33 with the highest score as unbeaten 61 runs. The promising batsman will be leaving for Sri Lanka on July 21, 2013, representing India Under-19 team.
