Hardik PandeyBorn on October 11, 1993, Hardik Pandya is an Indian cricketer who plays for Baroda cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-fast. He was named in Indian squad for 2016 ICC World Twenty20 and Asia Cup. Pandya has been playing his skills for his domestic side since 2013. He played a vital role in Baroda winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the 2013-14 season. Baroda were struggling at 20/2 in their opening match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, at the Wankhede Stadium, when Hardik walked in to bat in the fifth over and turned it around with a blistering 57-ball 82 (not out) facing the likes of Zaheer Khan, Dhawal Kulkarni and Pravin Tambe. Baroda won the match and Hardik caught the eye of former India and then Mumbai Indians head coach John Wright who was present at the venue along with the MI think-tank. In January 2016, he slammed eight sixes during his innings unbeaten 86 to guide Baroda cricket team to a six-wicket win over Vidarbha cricket team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his Twenty20 International debut for India on 26 January 2016 at the age of 22, picking up 2 wickets against Australia.[5] His first Twenty20 International wicket was Chris Lynn. In second T20I against Sri Lanka cricket team at Ranchi, he came ahead of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni and hit 27 off 14 balls before becoming hat-trick victim of Thisara Perera. In Asia Cup 2016, he smashed 31 off 18 balls which helped India to a respectable score against Bangladesh.
