JAMMU, Aug 3: Special Director General of CRPF, J&K Zone Sachidanand Shrivastava, laid a foundation stone for construction of boundary wall at GC, CRPF, Kootah (Hiranagar) today.
Group Centre CRPF Kootah was raised during 2013 and is presently functioning at Zonal training centre, CRPF Nagrota. For establishing GC CRPF, Kootah, approximately 169.76 acres of land has been acquired from Kootah village, Tehsil Hira Nagar, District Kathua, (J&K) which is situated at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway.
On construction of family Quarters at GC Tooth, approximately 1571 men and officers who are away from their families for various anti terrorist Naxal /Maoist duties at various parts of the country to save the nation from anti social elements, their families could be accommodated at GC, CRPF, Kootah for better education of their children and to look after of their families. Due to lack of family accommodation at their present place of posting, men/officers of this GC and its affiliated units cannot keep their families. For the safety and security of the land allotted for GC Kootah, Sachidanand Shrivastava, Special Director General, CRPF, J&K Zone laid a foundation stone today for construction of boundary wall around the campus.
On this auspicious occasion, in addition to the chief guest, Pankaj Kumar, IGP ,CRPF, J&K Zone, Kuldeep Dhar, IGP, CRPF, Jammu Sector, K C Singh, Chief Engineer NZ-1, CPWD, P K Sharma, Chief Architect, NZ-1, CPWD, M C Panwar, DIGP, GC, CRPF Kootah, P K Aggarwal, SE, CPWD and other seniors officers of CRPF & CPWD Civil Madhopur (Punjab) were present.
The construction of the said boundary wall would be done under the close supervision of R K Sheetal, EE(Civil), CPWD, Madhopur (Punjab). Besides above, the officials of print and electronic media were also present on this occasion.
