Special trains for Maha Kumbh

JAMMU, Jan 12: Union Minister of State (MoS) in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dr Jitendra Singh, has said that the Railway authorities will operate three special trains between Katra and Prayagraj to facilitate the pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh.
Sharing the information on micro blogging platform X, Dr Jitendra Singh said that the first of these special trains will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station on January 24, 2025, and will return from Prayagraj on January 26, 2025, ensuring smoother travel for the large number of devotees heading to the spiritual gathering.

According to the Union Minister, the first train will leave Katra at 03:50 PM on January 24, 2025, and is expected to arrive at Prayagraj at 05:45 AM the next day.
“For the return journey, the train will depart from Prayagraj at 03:15 PM on January 26, 2025, and will reach Katra at 05:05 AM on January 27, 2025,” claimed Dr Jitendra Singh.
“The schedule of the next two trains will be intimated in course of time,” the Union Minister wrote on X.
