Special packages attract J&K students to Glocal University

JAMMU, June 3: Special packages for Jammuites, Kashmiri migrants and students of Kashmir valley by Glocal University, Saharnpur, a UGC recognized private university,  was  the centre of attraction for the student community of Jammu and Kashmir who thronged the Edunius Expo, the two day Education Fair  held at Jhelum Resorts  Jammu where a number of colleges participated.
Prof B L Raina, Vice Chancellor Glocal University and a son of the soil alongwith his faculty members was personally supervising the activities in Jammu and invited the students of Jammu province, Kashmiri migrants and Valley students to pursue higher education in various streams of the university offering a special package in the form of discounted fee as a token of love for the region.
Prof Raina, a top educationist of the country supervised the interaction with huge rush of students who thronged the Glocal University stall and personally replied to the queries of the students and parents to satisfy their concerns regarding safety, security and educational standards of the university.
He informed that more than 100 students from J&K have so far enrolled in different courses of the university, which was one of the best campus for the students of the Jammu and Kashmir State. Prof Raina was assisted by Dr Rayees, Dr Farah and Arif Wani.
Announcing the special package for Jammuites and Kashmiri migrants, Prof B L Raina, said they are offering discounts so that students of Jammu region and Kashmiri migrants can avail benefits from the university.
Prof Raina said that Glocal University has many highly qualified faculty members from the J&K State. The institution is  just a few minutes distance from Dehradun, which had  direct flights to J&K, he added.
He further said that Glocal University is offering special discounts to the Kashmiri students on all courses. “We offer courses including MBBS, BAMS, BUMS, ANM, GNM, B Sc Nursing,, Physiotherapy, Paramedical courses, Science and Technology, Polytechnic, Business and Commerce, Law, Agricultural Sciences, Mass Communication and others,” he added.
The University also has a Medical College which benefits the students in two ways. First the students from Medical stream do their practicals here and second, the students are entitled of free medical treatment in it.
The university was ranked one of the top institutions of the country, which has advanced infrastructure and all the facilities to impart quality education.
