MENDHAR, Mar 20: Concerned over the increasing traffic congestion and inconvenience caused to the public due to shopkeepers encroaching on roads, the local administration adopting strict stance launched special drive today.
A market inspection and anti-encroachment drive was conducted under the leadership of SDM Mendhar Imran Kataria, accompanied by SDPO Tausif Ahmad, SHO Ajaz Wani, Naib Tehsildar Afsar Hussain, and other officials.
During the inspection, authorities checked vehicles parked at the bus stand and the main market, instructing drivers to park only in designated areas. Shopkeepers were warned to keep their goods within the allotted shop boundaries, failing which strict action would be taken.
The administration has made it clear that this drive will continue to ensure smooth traffic movement and ease public inconvenience. Officials are preparing to take stringent measures against encroachers soon.
